- 2 / 5By Brian MarineI bought a Groupon for the Dugout Grill because I wanted to try this place out. We decided to eat there this past Friday night on 6/7/13. We had to travel about 14 miles from my home in Poughkeepsie to get there (about 25 minutes), but when we arrived at 6:45 pm ... the place was closed!
This was despite the fact they are supposed to be open until 8pm on a Friday, and that there were numerous large red OPEN signs all over the place.
When I called the next day, and asked why they were closed, the manager would only say "it was slow, so we decided to close early".
If this were a Tuesday or Sunday night, I might have understood a little more ... but on a Friday night? Local businesses (especially restaurants) need to think more about how to better serve their customers ... and less about what's convenient for them!May 08, 2017
